‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Safeguarding Visit

Date: 26th Jan 2022 @ 1:26pm

On 6th November I completed a safeguarding visit to Excalibur and met with Mrs Jones.

In order to comply with the new Keeping Children Safe in Education regulations the school has purchased National Online Safety.  This provides the school with online training for all staff specific to their role and also updated information on a monthly basis.  It has also provided the governors of Excalibur access to the governor specific training for online safety. Access to the website had also been provided for all parents. The aim of the school is to become an accredited school.

The Single Central Record Dashboard was reviewed during my visit and was shown to be inspection ready.

The school now has a rigorous and robust safeguarding section in the Headteacher report. The governors are receiving regular feedback from Mrs Jones. Mr Jones was asked to provide feedback regarding the agencies that are supporting the school to enable governors to be aware of the situation and any support that they can give. Mrs Jones external agencies on the most part had been very helpful; however, phone calls to pursue issues referred to the Integrated Front Door (Cheshire East Education Consultation Service) for early help assessment or school support were time consuming.
