‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Standon Bowers - Year 4 - Final Update

Date: 6th Mar 2020 @ 2:50pm

The children are now on their way back to school after an exciting two days at Standon Bowers.

This morning, they separated into their groups to take part in survival skills: fire building and shelters. During the sessions, they cooked over an open fire and worked in teams to build a structure suitable for habitation.

With the activities over, and the trip coming to a close, the children went into the dining hall for the final meal, consisting of a range of tasty sandwiches, a packet of crisps, fruit and jam-filled doughnuts.

At approximately 1:15, the Standon Bowers staff ran a debrief with the class, during which the children shared what they had most enjoyed and who they were proud of.

Throughout the residential, Year 4 have done wonderfully, overcoming fears, working together to achieve great things and having fun at the same time. Many thanks to all the staff at Standon Bowers and for the whole of Year 4 for making the trip so enjoyable for everyone!
