English - 20.05.20
Note: the instructions below are from yesterday's English session. This piece of writing is intended to take approximately 2 hours to complete. The supporting documents can be found here.
Task: Using the Eye of the Storm video, write a description of the scene.
- Watch the Eye of the Storm video on Literacy Shed.
- Write your own version of the video. You may do it from any perspective. You could choose 1st or 3rd person, and from any of the following perspectives:
- The pilot
- The dragon
- A narrator
- Take a look at the WAGOLL - Eye of the Storm to get an idea of what you could do. This week, I have experimented by writing the story in present tense. For an extra challenge, you could try and do the same. I have also tried to use a different style, utilising more complex sentences to build the image for the reader.
- Use the Eye of the Storm Images to help you write. You could jot down some notes for some of the images.
- You may use the Planning Template - Eye of the Storm to help you with structure.
- I have included a Phrase and Clause Bank which you may use.
- As always, I have included the Progression of Sentences, which you may find useful to help with varying your sentence structures.
