Consolidating knowledge of French vocabulary

Task 1: Reading and identifying vocabulary

• Read the Une Maison a Louer outloud more than once. You could even record yourself reading it and then listen back to hear your pronunciation of the words.
• Copy down all adjectives you can find along with their English translations.
• Then copy all words which you recognise and write their English translations.

Task 2: Translation

• Without support, translate as much of the text as you can.
• Then, using an online translator or French-English dictionary, translate the whole text. Only use a translator for individual words, not sentences.

Extra Challenge

• Write your own version.
