‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Friday 19th June

It's is Friday again! There has been lots of great learning going on again this week. Thank you to those of you who sent your 'Sound Collector' poem to me, I really enjoyed reading them. Well done Year 3.

I am currently in the process of giving you all a call so look out for my phonecall over the next week or so.  Have a nice weekend. smiley

Maths

Friday means that it's time for a maths challenge. There are 3 for you today. You might like to choose 1 or do them all. The answers are on the last page. For 'Next door numbers' there are a few different ways to do it so the answers given are only examples.

English

We are going to be using BBC Bitesize to look at the book Kensuke's Kingdom. I used this book when I was in Year 5 and I think Year 5 may be looking at it at the moment. I love this book so wanted to share it with you. There are some videos and questions to think about based on extracts from Kensuke's Kingdom. It also asks you to write a diary entry as Michael.

Art

I would like you to create a self-portrait. You can use any media that you choose to create your self-portrait such as pencisl, crayons, paints or sharpies. Just use whatever you have at home. You might like to take some inspiration from famous self-portraits such as Van Gogh

This video gives some advice on how to create a self-portrait but you may choose to use a different style.
