Good Morning, Year 5. Half term is finally here! Even though we're still social distancing, I hope you are all able to have a fabulous half-term. Let's keep our fingers crossed for good weather!
Next week, I won't be uploading daily work but I'll put on some fun activities like I did when it was Easter. It's up to you if you want to complete them or not x
Maths
Mental Maths:Spend 10 - 15 minutes on TTRS or Prodigy to revise your knowledge and brush up on skills.
LO: To apply knowledge of converting units of measurement
Open the maths PowerPoint and activities file. On slides 1 - 6, you will find questions to consolidate your understanding of converting units of measurement. You can find the answers on slide 7.
English
In stories, tension can be built up through the use of short sentences. Read through the PowerPoint attached which gives an example of using short sentences in this way. After, have a go at writing your own sentences that begin with various openers and are descriptive and then followed by a short dramatic sentence to build the suspense for the reader. On the activity sheet, you will see my examples then room to write your own. Use the word bank attached to help.
Science
Today, we will be learning about pollination. Click on the link to check out the BBC Bitesize website HERE. Watch the videos and have a go at the activities provided. You could also look through the Science PowerPoint and complete the pollination activity attached.
