Maths (1 hour)

Please join us for a live Microsoft Teams lesson at 9:00am.

If you were unable to join the Teams session, please start the lesson by working through the maths PowerPoint uploaded at the bottom of the page. There are some activities that you can work through before moving onto today's task. Today we are looking at slides 8 onwards which are the reasoning and problem solving questions.

For your activity today, please choose the page which is the right level of challenge for you. You do not need to complete all the pages in the document.

* = First page (D)

** = Second page (E)

*** = Third page (GD)

CHALLENGE

If you would like to have a go at a challenge after you have completed your activity, there are some uploaded at the bottom of the page. The answers are also included so, if you are able to, you can check your own work.

Please upload your responses to the maths task on Seesaw. Thank you.

English (1 hour)

Please join us for a live Microsoft Teams input at 10:30am.

Today we are writing our own poem about snow. Please use the PowerPoint uploaded at the bottom of the page to guide your writing.

I have also included some word banks and the poem 'What is...the sun?' to help you with the structure of your poem.

Once you have written your poem, you may want to write it up in your best Excalibur handwriting. If you would like to, there is some snowflake paper uploaded at the bottom of the page for you to use. You may want to perform your poem to somebody at home.

I look forward to reading your wonderful poems on Seesaw!

Please upload your responses to the English task on Seesaw. Thank you.

Spellings

Please spend some time today practising your spellings from this week. You could ask somebody at home to check your spellings like we do in school on Fridays.

New Spellings:

I have uploaded the new spellings for this week at the bottom of this page and on Seesaw. Please continue to practise them throughout the week.

Today, please choose 4 words to find the definition in a dictionary. If there are any other words that you are unsure of, you could find these too.

Please respond to the Spellings task on Seesaw.

Geography (1 hour)

Please begin the lesson by watching THIS video about the climate in Antarctica. Today we will be continuing to compare the United Kingdom and Antarctica.

Please ask an adult before clicking on any links.

Please have a look at the activity page uploaded below. The table and the graph both show the different temperatures in the United Kingdom and in Antarctica throughout the year. What do you notice?

Use your own ideas and what you have learned from the BBC video to have a go at completing the activity sheet. There are additional video links below to help you if you need them.
