‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Friday 26th February

It’s Friday!

Please join me for a live Teams meeting at 9:15am. I look forward to seeing you 😊

Dough Disco!

Today's song is:

Pencil full of lead

It has a fast tempo so get those fingers working!

What moves will you do today?

Pat it?

Smack it?

Ball it?

Squeeze it?

Pinch it?

Penguin dive?

Maths – ‘Building 9 and 10’ – Lesson 5

Today Miss Cooper is playing Bingo! Watch the video below:

Building 9 and 10 - Lesson 5

Then complete the follow up activity which is in the files section.

Today you are going to be playing Bingo!

You need to pick a card, work out what number it is showing and then see if you have the numeral that matches it on your bingo card.

If you do then you can cover it with a counter!

The winner is the first person to cover all of their numerals. Have fun 😊

If you fancy a challenge, have a go at the Bingo challenge sheets in the files section!

Literacy/Art – Wolf Wanted Poster

I would like you to make a wanted poster for the wolf from the story of Little Red Riding Hood.

A wanted poster is used to help catch somebody who has done the wrong thing.

At the end of the story, the wolf ran away into the forest so he is still on the loose!

Your wanted poster should help people to find him by showing what he looks like and what his character is like.

There is a template in the files section that you can use if you would like to.

Task 1:

Your poster will need a picture of the wolf from the story so that people know what he looks like.

Please draw a picture of the wolf from the story.

You could draw or paint the picture.

You could even use 2Paint on Purple Mash to create your wolf.

2Paint

Try and make it look as much like the wolf from the story as you can - we don’t want people to be looking out for the wrong wolf!!

When you are adding colour to your picture, try and think about how you can show texture - so how you can show that he is furry, for example.

I have put some pictures of the wolf from the story in the files section to help you.

Task 2:

Your poster will need to describe the wolf to help people know who they are looking out for.

Rabbits and Owls

Click here for a video where I show you how I would teach this part to you if we were in school.

Write words to describe the wolf underneath your picture to help people spot him.

For example:

Grey

Mean

Think carefully about:

  • What the wolf looks like –  for example, his colour, what are his eyes/teeth like?
  • What the wolf is like – for example, is he kind? Is he mean? Is he scary?

Foxes and Hedgehogs

Click here for a video where I show you how I would teach this part to you if we were in school.

Write short sentences to describe the wolf underneath your picture to help people spot him.

For example:

He has big eyes.

He is mean.

Think carefully about:

  • What the wolf looks like –  for example, his colour, what are his eyes/teeth like?
  • What the wolf is like – for example, is he kind? Is he mean? Is he scary?

Have a lovely day and see you later for our bedtime story 😊
