‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Friday 26th June

Good Morning!

It is Friday today!

Well done Year 4! We have earned another Epic reading badge this week. As a class, we have read over 800 books! Well done! Remember, if you would like me to set some books for you on Epic, please respond to the Epic! Seesaw task telling me which books you enjoy and I will do my best to find some more for you which are similar. Keep reading Year 4!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Maths

Please complete the online lesson to complete a symmetrical figure.

If you would prefer, there are worksheets at the bottom of the page. You do not need to complete both the online lesson and the worksheets but they are provided if you would like to have a go. Today I have included some symmetrical spring sheets to practise lines of symmetry. See if you can complete the pictures.

Also, there is a Friday maths challenge, if you would like to have a go.

English

As it is Friday, I thought you would really enjoy this BBC Bitesize lesson. You can learn the poem 'On the Ning Nang Nong' by Spike Milligan. I can remember learning this poem so I was really pleased when I saw it on the website. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do - please let me know on Seesaw!

Also, I know so many of you really enjoy reading books by David Walliams. Therefore, today I have also included a reading comprehension all about David Walliams. Have you read any books by David Walliams? Which one is your favourite?

Apologies, the website would only let me upload the * sheet. I will keep trying to upload it here on our online learning page. I have uploaded all available options on Seesaw. Please let me know if you are unable to find/access these and I can email them to you.

History

To remind you, the National History Museum have opened virtual tours. Please ask before clicking on the link below.

Next week, we will be learning all about Victorian inventions. To get started, have a look at the 'Victorian Inventions' activity. You do not need to print it out, but you can if you are able to. You will need to decide whether you think each invention slips was invented before, during or after the Victorian Era. The answers are included so you can check when you have finished.

PE

Today is the last day of National School Sport Week. I have uploaded lots of links and activities on the online learning page called 'National School Sport Week'. You can click HERE to take you to the page. This page will remain on the website so, if you would like to, you can come back to it later. Try a new activity today to keep yourself active! I hope you have enjoyed National School Sport Week!
