Message to Year 6 - No. 5

We are now at the end of the first week of learning from home. I hope you have all found the website useable and have been able to access the various online resources as well. Please let me know if you need any assistance and feel free to continue emailing with how you're getting on.

Maths and English information is below, as well as links to various computing websites for you to continue practising your coding.

In addition to this, please see below for some websites you may find interesting. These don't need to be looked at today but can be accessed at any point over the next few days.

  • Power in Me - Each Friday, Mrs. Griffin will provide an uplifting song which you may learn at home.
  • The Great Indoors - provided by the Scout Association, there are a variety of activities which can be done at home.
  • Live Virtual Chester Zoo - today, Chester Zoo are holding a live virtual tour of the animal enclosures. The event is being run through Facebook. I am not sure of the details but there is a link on their website with more information.
  • Smithsonian - National Museum of Natural History Virtual Tour - located in Washington DC, you can take a virtual tour of the museum, which contains a variety of exhibits.

Keep safe and keep learning.

Mr. Hancock

Reminder: For next Tuesday, I have uploaded the 2016 Sample Reading SATs Paper for the children to complete. You do not have this in your packs. This can be completed using the computer screen - answers can be written in the red home learning book. However, if you are not able to print it or use the computer, please let me know. I will arrange for a hard copy to be printed and posted to you.
