‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Friday 27th March

Friday already!  I hope everyone is keeping well and having fun being at home.

Today, we will continue with our work on decimals and fractions, writing a non-chronological report and begin our new topic in science!

Maths: See attached files for reasoning and problem solving questions related to fractions and decimals.  (Answers are hidden behind the blue boxes.)

English: By today, you should be completing your non-chronological reports on the yeti.  Remember to use your checklists to check for features.  Of course, read back through your own piece to ensure that it makes sense and that it is punctuated accurately.  Make sure you have commas after subordinate clauses in complex sentences!!!  If you would like to send your completed writing to me, do so using the admin email address with the subject - Miss Mc Writing.  I'd love to read your pieces.

Science: Our new topic is Life Cycles and Reproduction.  Firstly, check out the pics of our caterpillars so far!  They turned into chrysalids yesterday! Please look at pages 10 - 13 on the PowerPoint attached.  Using the PowerPoint or you own research, complete the insect lifecycle (complete metamorphosis) Word doc.

As an extension activity, complete the task on page 11 of the PowerPoint.
