School Lunches and Snacks

School Lunches

At Excalibur the catering is provided by Cheshire East Catering Services, who supply nutritious meals and snacks for pupils.

The lunch menu can be downloaded below, together with the allergen charts for those menus.

From September 2014, all infants are eligible for a free school meal.

School meals for Key Stage 2 (year 3 to 6) are £2.30 per day, £11.50 per week. School lunches taken are recorded on Parentmailpmx  at the end of each week and payment can be made using the school's shop on Parentmail.

You can decide on a day by day basis if you want your child to have a school lunch as long as your child knows in the morning so that it can be ordered.

If you require details on free school meals please download the free school meal flyer at the bottom of the page.

The lunch menu is reviewed regularly and alters seasonally.

Any missed payments should be paid promptly.

Free School Meals

Children who are eligible for free school meals still need to register even if they are receiving Universal Free School Meals or if they are not going to have a school lunch for any other reason. This is because:

  • Schools receive ‘pupil premium’ funding – an extra payment for each eligible child which can be spent on useful services;
  • You will receive extra help for things like music lessons, sports lessons, uniform or school trips.

Whether your child receives FSM is confidential between your family, the class teacher and the senior leadership team.  The rest of the school community (including governors) can only see anonymous data.

Morning break is available to all children from the kitchen. The pricing can be found by downloading the break menu below.

Cash for breaks are paid by the children as they collect their breaks.

Children have access to water at all times. Please provide your child with a labelled, sports cap water bottle.
