‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Monday 11th May

Welcome Year 4!

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. For VE Day, I put up some bunting and made a fruit cake. Did you do anything to celebrate?

The VE Day page is still under our Year 4 learning if you would like to go back and try some of the activities I have uploaded there.

It has been so lovely to see all the things you have been up to on the 'News From Home' page. Thank you to everybody who has sent an email!

Keep safe

Maths

After that, you may want to have a go at this dice game. Please ask first. If you haven't got any dice at home, the link has online dice which you can use.

English

Please complete the coordinating conjunctions lesson on BBC Bitesize.

Then, you may want to write some sentences ready for our next piece of writing. Remember, we are retelling the part of the story when Oliver asks for more food. You are going to write in the first person. This means you will be writing as if you are Oliver!

I have written some sentences to start you off....

1.  I asked for some more food but I was not allowed.

2. Working in the workhouse was difficult so I was very tired.
