‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Monday 11th May

Happy Monday everyone!

We hope you had a great weekend.

Mrs Rogers had lots of gardening jobs to keep her busy over the weekend. What did you do?

Did you do anything special on Friday to celebrate VE day?

Today's activities

Maths: National Oak Academy: Measuring Time

  • Today's lesson is all about measuring time

The tray game

  • Choose 5 or 6 different objects e.g. lego figure, a spoon, a pen and place them on a tray (or just in front of you, if you don't have a tray).

  • Spend a few minutes talking about them in as mych detail as you can.

  • Close your eyes and get a grown-up to take one of the items away. Open your eyes. What's missing?

  • You can add more items (not too many though) and take some away if it's too tricky or easy!

  • Write a list of the items on the tray.

  • If you can turn them into simple sentences and write the sentence that would be super. e.g I can see a thin black pen.

Get moving!

  • Try PE with Joe
