Our Learning this week is themed  'Under the Sea'

 

Under the Sea

 

  • Have a look at the 'under the sea' picture below and talk about what you can see in it.

 

  • Would you like to go exploring under the sea?

 

  • Would you dive or go in submarine?

 

  • What would you like to see? Why?

 

  • What wouldn't you like to see? Why not?

 

 

  • Now write a list of what you can see.

 

  • Look at the PowerPoint Below to find out more about the ocean.

 

Maths:Oak Academy - Combining quantities

 

  • In this lesson we will practise adding 2 quantities together by counting them all.

  • Have a go at combining 2 quantities and drawing the whole and part models as shown in the lesson.

 

  • If it's not raining we are going to use chalk and do this on the playground at school today.

  • Choose Year 1 and the first birdbox. 

 

  • Some children will be able to do upto the fourth birdbox.
