‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Monday 30th March

Hi everyone. Once again, I hope everyone is ok.  It's strange not to be in school and I'm missing you all and thinking about you lots.  To keep you busy over the next week, I'll be uploading work for you to complete, trying to stick to our class timetable as much as possible.  Have a go of as much as you feel you can.

Maths: If you are able to, visit the Toparks website that we use in class to practise tables.

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/daily10

As a challenge choose:

  • speed challenge
  • level 6
  • division
  • mixed tables up to 12
  • set a time and start

Otherwise, choose either multiplication or division and practise what is relevant for you.

This week, we will continue our learning of fractions and decimals.  Today, we will be learning about thousandths.  Please use the link below to access lesson 4 - understand thousandths.

Watch the video and have a go at the questions. Answers are also available.

Spellings:  Please find a PowerPoint attached which goes through the new spelling rule - tial/cial.  Choose either the group 1 or group 2 activity.  A list of spellings to learn is attached under 'spelling homework'.

Today, please read through the text - Rainforest Diary - pages 6-7, then answer the questions on pages 8-10.  You will find the answers on pages 11 - 14.
