Lauren and Matthew

Thank you to all the staff at Excalibur. You are all doing an amazing job. Lauren likes to start the day with PE with Joe or yoga and Matthew likes to start the day with funky fingers. Thank you Mrs Thompson for the video. They have enjoyed doing the online learning activities. Matthew made his ginger bread man and made a bridge for him to cross the river. Lauren has had great fun doing the riddles and posting them on to the riddle blog. They enjoyed reading time in the garden and having lots of fun in the sun. Lauren had her Saturday dance class online which she enjoyed and they both went camping in the garden.

They miss you all lots. Hope to see you all soon x

A message from Mrs Thompson

Hi ya everyone, well today I’ve helped Ben and Izzy with their school work they have received from the High school. Then I covered some of the reception yellow books and stuck labels on your unaided writing books ( it’s not just you that Mrs Rogers sets work for!!). I then walked with Ben to collect his bike from his Grandads, Pip has mended the tyre. When I got back home I made some dough ready for the dough disco next week.

I’ve loved looking at all your wonderful pictures and videos that you have sent in, please keep them coming. Take care everyone love ya xx Mrs Thompson

Parry and Corey have enjoyed singing along with Mum on the guitar today. Parry took some photos and videos. Corey's painted a big rainbow to go in our window for the neighbours across from us. They kindly gave my cat some food and have put some Christmas lights on a tree in honor of the NHS. I have so many lovely people around me yet I did see it before. I guess we can all gain something positive from this...

Monday 23rd March 2020

George has learnt how to make us all a cup of tea & we’ve set up a home gym.

Hi all,
Firstly, a huge thank you for all of your hard work uploading online learning and ideas for the children to complete at home.
Charlie’s had a busy day today...We’ve had our PE lesson with Joe Wicks, Read and Write Inc. lessons on YouTube, practised his handwriting, played in the garden, created a rainbow for the front window and started his 30 day Lego challenge!
Day 1 and It’s safe to say I’m exhausted, a class of 27 teenagers are definitely easier to manage. 😂 I’m not quite sure how you all do it!
Thanks,
Bekki and Charlie

Annie was excited to do a Food Tech lesson on her first day.....

Lissie has had a great first day at home school! We painted rainbows, made curry, read stories. Lissie drew a gingerbread man, cut it out & hid it for me to find it with her using position words. She did 2 maths challenges, decorated her unicorn garden ready to plant it tomorrow, drew on the board, did speed sounds set 1, practiced handwriting, found 5 squares around the house, counted to 100 with the help of a song, played with dolls, went on the trampoline, hula hooped, face timed school friends, practiced patterns on the whiteboard & used magnets!!
All in all a great day! Take care everyone x

Today we have done maths Corey is really enjoying 10x tables on tt rocks stars! Then they did some English in the pack. The science I made up as I went along... We did experiments testing the senses, watched some videos on how water is made and how it changes from ice to steam etc... The boys enjoyed making ice cubes and jelly as experiments. I was 2 minutes short of a 50minute lesson which I think was good considering I had nothing planned... Couldn't find science on your website and my boys wouldn't let me alter their precious timetable we created. It was fun though! My made up science turned out to be the best part of our day. They are now enjoying playtime before doing some I.T and finishing off with some mindfulness before tea.

Mrs Jones may fire me with the online schooling I was late with my own timetable starting... Oops.... Sorry Mrs Jones!
