Charging for Educational Visits
School visits are generally self-financing.They are calcluated on a cost basis split between the children in the class that are attending. If a surplus is calculated on previous trips, due to a change in costs, this is deducted from the cost of the following trip, no profit is kept from school trips.
Parents/carers are asked to make a voluntary contribution towards costs, otherwise visits can be cancelled due to lack of funds. However, if you cannot afford a contribution and wish your child to go on a trip, please contact the School Business Manager/Head Teacher, as there is the possibility of financial help. Your enquiry will be treated in strict confidence.
Pupils who are registered as eligible for Free School Meals are funded for day trips by the Pupil Premium Fund.
In the September 'Meet the Teacher' meeting and in termly class newsletters parents will be informed of likely trips for the forthcoming term to allow for budgeting.
