EMA

Please spend no more than 15 minutes on Prodigy or Times Tables Rockstars. Click on the blue writing to take you to the website.

Please ask an adult before clicking on any links.

Today's EMA will be part of our Teams session. If you are unable to make this or you would like to have another look at it, the EMA activity (and answers) are included in the maths PowerPoint uploaded at the bottom of the page and on Seesaw.

Maths

Please join us for a live Microsoft Teams lesson at 9:00am.

If you were unable to join the Teams session, please work through the maths PowerPoint uploaded at the bottom of the page and on Seesaw.

Please complete the guided actvities on the PowerPoint before moving on to the maths tasks. There is also THIS VIDEO to help explain the method.

Please ask an adult before clicking on any links.

Today we are learning to divide using a number line. There are *, ** and *** activities to choose from. Please choose one activity to complete.

There are some blank number lines uploaded at the bottom of the page if you would like to use these. However, you may wish to draw your own number line on a whiteboard or piece of paper.

CHALLENGE

If you would like to have a go at a challenge after you have completed your activity, there is one uploaded at the bottom of the page. The answers are also included on the last page of the document so, if you are able to, you can check your own answers.

Please upload your responses to the maths task on Seesaw. Thank you.

English

Please join us for a live Microsoft Teams input at 10:30am.

The PowerPoint and the activities are uploaded below so you can have another look at these after the session if you would like to.

If you were unable to join us on Teams this morning, please work through the PowerPoint before starting to write your next paragraph.

Today we are continuing to write our non-chronological report all about Emperor Penguins. Last week we looked at the structure of non-chronological reports and began to research facts about Emperor Penguins. You will be able to use these and the sentences we wrote yesterday in your non-chronological reports.

Use the plan you created last week to begin writing your next paragraph. We are going to write the next paragraph. The subheading for this paragraph will be 'Appearance'. You can have a look at my WAGOLL uploaded at the bottom of the page.

Please focus on this paragraph only. Please remember to read your draft writing aloud so you can check spellings and punctuation.

Please upload your responses to the English task on Seesaw. Thank you.

Reading

This Saturday (23rd January 2021) marks both National Handwriting Day and National Reading Day!

Please check Seesaw for our class code for Epic! The link for the website is at the top of this page.

On Tuesday, we practised our Excalibur handwriting and yesterday, we had our group guided reading sessions. Today, there is a reading task on Seesaw. Please let me know which book is your favourite to read. It can be a book you have a home or one you have found on Epic! I aim to create a Y3 list of all your recommended reads.

Please upload your responses to the National Reading Day task on Seesaw. Thank you.

Computing

Last week I was so impressed with your coding. This week there are some more levels on Rapid Router that I would like you to have a go at.

Click HERE to go to Code For Life.

Please ask an adult before clicking on any links.

Please aim to complete Level 20 to Level 28.

There is a video to watch when you begin the first activity on 'Loops and Repetitions'. Please watch this before you begin coding. We are learning to use the repeat block to make our sequences shorter and quicker.

If you are finding it a little tricky, you may want to go back to the previous level 'Shortest Route'. Please watch the tutorial first and then have a go before moving on to

Please upload your responses to the Computing task on Seesaw. Thank you.

Music

Thank you for all the responses for the last music lesson on Seesaw. I am so pleased you are enjoying the online music lessons so far.

Please click HERE to watch (and join in with) today's Daily Big Sing from Love Music Trust. It is the song 'Three Little Birds'.

If you would like to watch yesterday's Daily Big Sing, you can click HERE. The song is called 'Feeling good'.

Today we are going to look at two pieces of music. The first is called 'Le Onde' and the second is called 'La Mer'. Love Music Trust have a lesson that you can watch and follow along to find the different dimensions of music. Please click HERE to watch that first. You can find all the documents and pieces of music for the lesson by clicking the 'show more' button under the video.
