Today, we will be looking at organising and punctuating speech.  We have covered this previously so hopefully it will act as a little bit of revision for you.  Remember, when someone new speaks, their speech needs to start a new line and be indented.  Have a look at the PowerPoint to remind yourselves then look at the activity provided.  You will need to identify the speech in the text, punctuate the speech and organise it accurately.  (Correct punctuation and organisation on page 2 of document.)

DT

This week, have a look at pages 7, 8 and 9 of you ship's log book to help.  Your aim now is to bulid a ship that can:

a) Float

b) Propel

c) Carry a load without sinking

To help it to float, you must think of something that will keep you vessel buoyant.  You could use an old bottle or bottles.  Remember, your boat needs to be able to hold a weight so it may need a platform/deck on it to enable you to place weight on it.  Also, you need to try to make your ship propel (move).  Check out the YouTube clip to remind you of ideas.

As an extra challenge, could you make your boat actually look like a boat so that it has features like a mast and sail?
