Work for today!

Maths: 

Mental maths: Hit the Button - Have a go at doubles to 50.  As a challenge, doubles from 50 - 100. 

Rounding decimals - Have a look at the PowerPoint, slides 1 - 11.  Choose one of the activity sheets (from the bottom adobe file - Step 6 VF Rounding decimals) to complete. (Answers at the bottom.)

English:

Read through the newspaper article attached.  Find all the features given in the checklist.  Use the PowerPoint from Tuesday 31st March to help. 

Art: To continue with our work on Henri Rousseau's Tiger in a Tropical Storm, look at the bottom right of the picture at the plant with 7 leaves.  Using the technique of tonal rendering, could you try to copy the plant using a colour if possible.  Think carefully about how the leaves are layered.  Which leaf goes in front? Behind?  Which bits are darker/lighter than others. As a challenge, could you draw and shade in your own plant, overlapping some of the leaves/petals.
