‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Thursday 2nd April

Hi everybody! smiley

Just a few reminders...

  • Remember to practise times tables. Click on some of the pictures below for some fun websites which you can use.
  •
  • Reading for at least 20 minutes every day. This could be your guided reading book, an accelerated reader book or one from home.
  • Spellings! You have the Y3/4 spelling list in your packs and your weekly spellings. Don't forget to practise them too!
  • PE! Keep yourself as active as you can. Click on the pictures for some fun ideas to keep moving!
  •

Well done Year 4! I can see you are all trying your best with online learning and I know it isn't the same as being in school. What have you been doing to help out at home? Let me know in our class blog. It's so wonderful to read the things you have been up to.

Maths

No more than 20 minutes on prodigy. Let's see who will be on the leaderboard next week!

Work through the MyMaths lesson on Tenths and Hundredths.

https://app.mymaths.co.uk/1711-lesson/tenths-and-hundredths

Once you have completed the lesson, have a go at the homework task.

https://app.mymaths.co.uk/1711-homework/tenths-and-hundredths

If you have already completed the homework for this week, please make sure you complete any other outstanding homework on MyMaths.

English

You should be aiming to finish drafting your narrative today. Remember, you can choose how the story ends. You might want to follow the story where the family rebuild their house. You might choose another ending. It's up to you!

Please read through your work and check:

 *spelling and punctuation

 * each sentence makes sense

*you have included the features on the check list - attached at the bottom of the page

Don't forget about your project on rivers. I have copied the task below so it's easier for you to find it again. If you have not finished yet, don't worry, you can spend some time over Easter finishing it off.

Geography Project

Over the next few weeks, please research the journey of a river. You can complete your project on paper or on the computer.

I am looking for you to:

  • Use the language of rivers e.g. erosion, depositation, transportation.
  • Explain and present the process of rivers.
  • Compare how river use has changed over time.
  • Research and discuss how water affects the environment, settlement, environmental change and sustainability.
