‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Thursday 7th May

Welcome Year 4!

Lots of news today!

Today there is an assembly by Oak National Academy. Nala will be teaching us to sing 'The Circle of Life' from The Lion King. It will be available at 11am but will also be kept online afterwards too so don't worry if you miss it.

Click on the picture below to take you to the page.

Tomorrow is VE Day. VE Day celebrates the end of World War II in Europe. VE Stands for Victory in Europe. If you would like to complete some of the activities I have upoaded you can find them under the page 'VE Day'. Remember you can do any activity in any order and you do not have to complete them all.

You may want to watch a recording of 'The Midnight Gang'. It is originally a book by David Walliams so I'm sure some of you will really enjoy it! It is available to view online for free until 29th May. Remember to ask an adult first.

Reminder: You may have already seen on the newsletter that we are asking for banners, designed by you, to be displayed on our front gates. These banners will be thanking the NHS and other keyworkers for their dedication. A box will be left at the bottom of the drive (weather permitting) today and tomorrow.

Remember tomorrow is the last day to deliver your banner!

Also, we earned our next Epic! reading badge! Wow! Well done! We have now read 325 books as a class. I know that lots of you are using this new website and are enjoying the books we are reading. I am going to be setting some Victorian themed books next week so keep an eye out for those too!

Keep safe

I have uploaded some reasoning and problem solving questions to continue our work on ordering decimals. Please choose the activity you would like to complete.

English

Please complete the Oliver Twist reading comprehension. It is a play script so, if you would like to, you could even act out the parts. You could ask somebody at home to help you or you could use toys to play the different parts.
