LO:Convert metric units of weight

Today, we are looking at converting metric units of weight.  Have a look through the PowerPoint then complete the activity (Word doc). Answers provided.

English

Today, we are going to begin our "for" paragraph for our balanced argument.  To do this, you need to think about the skills that you learnt last week - using connectives to link ideas; generalising the speaker; using modal verbs; and using language of debate. E.g.

Firstly, some people argue that this experience could greatly benefit Michael’s education as there will be opportunities to learn new languages.

Try to include three arguments that are "for" the family sailing around the world.  Use my WAGOLL to help.  Remember to draft and edit!

Computing (Mrs Harris)

Hello everyone. In Computing this week, we're going to look at using Excel spreadsheets to plan a party. The PowerPoint goes through how to do this. You will need the 'Activity Sheet Party Plan Budget' and the Excel Spreadsheet 'Party Plan Budget' to be able to complete this lesson. Possible solutions are given on the 'solutions' tab of the spreadsheet. I hope you enjoy it.

Humanities (Mrs Harris)

Yesterday, we looked at reading a map using grid references. Today, we are looking at map symbols - can you read the maps and name as many features as you can?
