‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Tuesday 14th July 2020

I hope you are all well and looking forward to the summer holidays.  It'll be really lovely seeing some of you next week. I know that not everyone is able to come and that's ok.  School will be a little bit different so if you haven't done so already, check out the video created by Miss Bass and Mrs Bundy which shows you how you will come into the classroom.

https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/which-festivals-do-buddhists-celebrate

In this lesson we will be learning about the Buddhist festival called Wesak. We will learn about why this festival is so special to Buddhists and the traditions that they observe. Finally, we will learn about the Noble Eightfold Path, which Buddhists reflect upon during Wesak.

Geography

Yesterday, your task was to research the history of Japan.  Today, your task is to find out geographical facts.  For example: Where is Japan?, What continent does it belong to?, What seas/oceans surround it?, What famous landmarks are there?, What does the Japanese flag look like? You can use the links below to help you.  Also, I have recommended some books on epic for you to read.
