‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Tuesday 19th May

Welcome Year 4!

I wonder where all the lovely weather has gone? It was quite cloudy yesterday. Hopefully you are still managing to get outside if you can.

May is 'National Walking Month'. Have you been on a walk recently?

Keep safe and keep learning!

Maths

No more than 20 minutes on either TTRS or Prodigy please. I am so glad to see lots of you using Prodigy. I wonder who will be on the leader board this week....

We are continuing our work on the topic of money. I have uploaded some worksheets at the bottom of this page for you to complete. Today we are ordering and comparing money. There is also a PowerPoint which you can have a look at. I would try this first if you would like a bit of practice before you start.

English

Our next piece of writing will be a character description. You can choose any of the characters that we have met so far in 'Oliver Twist'. Today, please have a look at the online version of 'Oliver Twist'. You can find it by clicking HERE. I have uploaded some features of a character description. Can you find some of the features in the text? Are you reading another book? Can you find the features in a different character?

Alternatively, you might want to have a look at THIS BBC Bitesize lesson. Its all about explaining your opinion about a character. You might find this really useful when you start to write your own character descriptions!

Please spend some time today using Epic or reading a book of your choice. Click on the logo to take you to the website.

Please ask before clicking on any links.
