English

Today we think about the journey to the city. Both Manyara and Nyasha travel to the city, but have very different experiences. Use the PowerPoint Journey to the City to guide your writing. Click on the to hear me talk about excalamation marks and the use of repetition. We have used these in our Chicken Thief writing, so I know you will be very good at using them today.

Don't forget, send me your paragraph via the English link on Seesaw, thank you.

Art

Over the last three weeks we have practised our drawing skills. Paul Priestly has taught us how to hold a pencil to draw curves and how to look at an object to see the shapes it is made from.

Today, let’s put all our learning together and try something a little different. Here is the link to the first video about drawing a beaker again, but this time, choose three different media to draw with. You could use pencil, coloured pencil, felt tip, chalk, wax crayon, charcoal, but not paint. Choose three of these and draw the beaker with each of your choices.

Which medium do you like best? Write one sentence under your three beakers to say which you preferred and why.

Some will work better than others for shading but that’s the fun – finding out!

Use Webster the Spider from this link today, as a warm up.

Then use this link for the ‘Chance to Shine’ cricket coaching session. It is a long session so may do some today and some on Thursday, unless you are enjoying it of course, then go for it! Try the whole video.
