Now you can recognise a third, can you find a third of a shape or a number? There is a video to watch in Week 2 (not week2, 27th April), scroll right down to find it, just like yesterday, 'Finding a Third'

Then try the questions in Tuesday Maths Find A Third in the files below.

Yesterday, you read a lot about life in a castle. What interested you most? Who lived in a castle? How the food was grown and cooked? What were the different jobs people did in a castle? How the castle was defended? How did knights fight wearing heavy armour? Today, choose two areas of life in a castle that you find interesting and start to collect facts to use in an information text. Use the blank table in 'Planning My Information Text' in the files below to hep you.

Watch me talking about collecting ideas here:

Art

Last week you created a letter using a collage technique. This week we are going to make a face using the same collage technique, but this time no scissors. So, just like last time collect together some samples of paper. You may want to use the inside of a cereal box as your base again. Draw a face shape and then rip paper to fill in the face area. How will you make eyes? Eyebrow? Curly hair? Spiky Hair? Cheeks? Here are some of these fantastic faces that Year 2 made in school, last year.

Can you see how the paper has been ripped, folded, twisted, crimped, scrunched, to creat texture. These are not simple two eyes a nose and a mouth, pictures. They have details. Look at the layers in the eyes. Look how the noses are folded to creat a more 3D shape. This should be fun. Please send me your creations via Seesaw, thank you.
