I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday and made the most out of the sunshine. Fingers crossed that it remains nice for the rest of the week! I would love to hear about anything that you did over half term and have posted a blog so you can tell me. Don't forget to send in any pieces of work that you'd like me to see. Tilly, what a fantastic "Kensuke's Island"! Thank so much for sharing.
Maths
Mental Maths: Visit the TopMarks maths website https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/daily10. Choose Level 5 or 6 fractions then fractions of amounts. Set the time to whatever will challenge you!
LO: To understand the difference between acute, obtuse and reflex angles.
Read throught PowerPoint 1 to refresh your memories on the differences between angles. Now read the PowerPoint entitled Maths - PowerPoint. Try to answer each question before revealing the answer. After this, choose from the one, two or three star activities. (Answers on the final page.)
English
Before half term, we were completing sentence level work to help us to build up to writing our own first person narrative. Today, I would like you to have a go at writing sentences containing figurative language which helps aid description. Look at my examples and have a go yourselves.
After this, read through my WAGOLL and then have a go at planning your own narrative. You may notice that my story deviates slighty to what's written in the book.
Humanities (Mrs Harris)
Hello everyone. Today we're focusing on the layers of the Earth. We'll be using this knowledge in future lessons to understand how volcanoes work.
