‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Tuesday 2nd June

Hello Year 4!

I hope you have all been able to spend some time outside in the lovely weather. Remember to stay safe in the sun too!

Have you found this weeks activities yet? They can be found HERE and this page contains lots of fun activities and other subject areas which you may choose to complete throughout the week.

I keep checking Epic!, Prodigy and Times Table Rockstars to see how you are all getting on. Well done to everybody who is using these websites frequently!

Take care

Maths

* Have a go at THIS GAME to estimate and compare units of time. Please ask first.

* I have uploaded a Time Investigation Activity. If you are able to, you can print the cards to cut them out and order them. Please ask before printing at home. If not, you can write and draw the pictures into your book. Remember to put them in order!

* If you would like a challenge, try the challenge cards too. The answers are included in the document so you can mark your own work.

English

Have you seen the film or the musical of Oliver Twist? If you have, you might already know that there are some songs included in the film.

'Consider Yourself' is one which you may have heard before. This link takes you to a video of lots of CBBC and CBeebies stars singing the song. You could try singing along with them.

If you click the link, you can hear the music and see the lyrics.

Sometimes, song lyrics are like a poem or a story. See if you can find out what this song is all about. Remember, the Artful Dodger sings this to Oliver after he has left the workhouse. If you would like to read the next part of the story, you can click HERE.

I have uploaded the lyrics to help you start annotating the lyrics. Look at my WAGOLL and try to complete the empty boxes. Is there anything else you can add in your own box?

If there are any words you are not sure about, you can look them up in the dictionary or ask an adult.
