‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Tuesday 31st March

Happy Tuesday everyone! smiley

I wonder what you are doing today?

What exercise will you do? Perhaps you could make up your own exercises to do? What will you do inside and what will you do outside? What can you play with today?

Remember to do what your grown-up asks. Are you helping by tidying your things away or making your bed? Perhaps you could help to set the table?

Reading/Phonics Challenges

  • Can you look in a book and find any of these words? Which words did you spot the most?
  • the
  • to
  • I
  • go
  • no

  • Play a game with your grown-up. Take it in turns to give instructions. For example, ‘Touch your f-ee-t’ or ‘Stand u-p’.

  • Look at things around the room and say the sound they begin with. Can you hear the sound they end with too? Try writing some of them down.

  • There are some phonics activities to support 'nk' on the Reception Class homepage.

Maths

Attached below are some maths activities based around ordering numbers 0-20. If your child is not ready to work with numbers to 20 yet start with 0-10 and build up gradually.

Try the White Rose maths activities everyday this week (week 2) they are based around the story 'What the Ladybird Heard'. You don't need to have the story  to do the actitivties. Have a look at the week 1 activities which are based around the story 'We're Going on an Egg Hunt' if you didn't look at them last week.
