I hope you all enjoyed the activities yesterday from the World Ocean Website. I really enjoyed the short films at the end. I'm hoping the resources will stay on the website for a while so that you can access ones that you didn't manage to yesterday - there were such a lot!
Before we begin today, I'd just like to congratulate Calum, Zac, Xanthe and Ellis for the amount of time spent on Epic so far. Well done! I do hope that you are all enjoying reading though, whether from books, magazines, articles online or books on Epic.
Maths
Mental Maths: Spend 10 - 15 minutes on TTRS
LO: Using a protractor to measure angles
For this lesson, you will need a protractor. Look through the maths PowerPoint (slides 1 - 15) or ask an adult to show you how to use a protractor. Once you are confident, measure the acute, obtuse and reflex angles on pages 1 - 3. If you want more practise, measure the mixed angles on page 4. Answers are all given on page 5.
If you do not have a protractor, please let me know so i can arrange for you to pick one up from school.

Spellings: Your spelling this week have the suffixes 'less' and 'ly' There are lots of activities on the PowerPoint to work through and a spelling list with words to learn.

Humanities
This week, we will look at the different layers of the ocean, in particular, the animals that live there. Read through the PowerPoint and watch the short video on the Mariana Trench (slide 11). After, choose a one, two or three star activity and use the PowerPoint to help you decide on the order of the layers and which animals live in each layer.
