Wednesday 10th June 2020
It's Wednesday already! Thanks to everyone who has managed to upload some of their work on to Seesaw. It has been lovely to see what you have been up to.
Mental Maths: Follow the link to a game called fraction matcher. Drag a fraction/image on to one of the scales and its equivalent fraction/image on to the second set of scales. Press check and it will tell you if you've found the matching pair. Work your way through the levels or choose a level which you think suits your ability. https://phet.colorado.edu/sims/html/fraction-matcher/latest/fraction-matcher_en.html
LO: To use a protractor to measure angles
Read through the PowerPoint to recap on how to read a protractor. If you're still unsure, ask for help if possible as using a protractor can be quite tricky. After, choose from a one, two or three star activity. Answers are provided on the last page.

Our next piece of writing is going to be a leaflet persuading people to visit Kensuke's Island - a holiday destination on an island in the Pacific Ocean. Have a read through my leaflet and see if you can find all the features on the checklist. After, look at the PowerPoint - Imperative Verbs. Imperative verbs are used a lot in leaflets as they aid persuasion. Read through my examples then try to write your own sentences beginning with imperative verbs.
