‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Wednesday 1st July

Good morning, Year 4!

I hope you are all well. I will keep adding to these daily messages as the week goes on. This week, I have been in school with a year 6 bubble but I have been thinking of you all. Thank you to everybody who is continuing to send in responses on Seesaw. I have really enjoyed seeing your bridges, circuit loop game designs, William Morris wallpaper and much more! Thank you!

It is the first day of July today. The start of a new month! Keep up all your hard work. I am so proud of how much effort and determination you have shown over the last few weeks.

English

Before we can write our own news report, we need to be able to identify the features. Today, we will be learning how to write a news report.

Please also continue to practise your spellings. If you would like to, you can have a go at these spelling games but be careful because they are not the same words as the ones from your spelling list this week. These spellings are from the Year 3/4 spelling list.

Science

I have uploaded a booklet which contains questions all about our electricity topic. If you have collected a home learning pack from school recently, this will already be printed inside. Don't worry if you did not collect one as I have uploaded it onto Seesaw. You can write your answers in your book.

Unfortunately, it will not upload to this online learning page. If you are unable to access it on Seesaw, please let me know and I can email a copy to you.

Afterwards, you may want to have another go on the circuits simulator. It has been lovely to hear that you are enjoying this and our electricity topic.

Click on the link below to watch some videos all about the work of the most important inventors and scientists in history. Please ask first.
