‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Wednesday 1st July

It has been so lovely speaking to so many of you again over the phone. I know it can be a little strange talking over the phone. If I haven't managed to speak to you yet then look out for my call.

Maths

We have been working on reading analogue clocks but there is also another way that time can be represented - 24 hour clock. So today we are going to be focusing on 24 hour clock. Work through the powerpoint (also pdf) and the choose which page you would like to do of the activities.

English

For today's lesson we are going to look at improving sentences using conjunctions. These will come in useful when you draft the first (morning) section of your Roman diary tomorrow. Choose your star challenge.

History

The Roman army was incredibly successful. I'm sure that you have already found out lots of reasons why they were so successful. Use the information to find out more about the Roman army. There are two activities for you to do:

1.) Label the Roman soldier - draw lines to label the equipment.

2.) Create a poster to encourage someone to join the Roman army. Use the information to help you.

Some of this information may come in useful when it comes to writing your Roman soldier diary.

PE

I know that lots of you are finding plenty of ways to stay active at home. Well done. Here are some other activities that you might like to try. Make sure you ask your adult!
