Message to Year 6 - No. 35

Good morning, Year 6. The weather looks set to improve over the next couple of days so I hope you are all making use of the outdoors as much as possible. Remember, there are sports-themed activities available under the Sports Showcase tab each day this week.

I am pleased to announce that you have achieved another badge on Epic: 100 total books have been read! Well done, everyone. Now, let's aim for the next milestone.

Keeping with the theme of books, there is a fantastic online opportunity taking place this week, although you can access it at any time. Hay Festival is a literary event that is usually held in Hay-on-Wye.The event involves presentations and interactive events led by some of the country's greatest authors.

This year, it is completely free and available online, with several children's authors making appearances. For example, Cressida Cowell, author of the How to Train Your Dragon series chats about her latest book and shares writing and illustration tips. New videos are made live at 8:00am each day. More information about this event can be found here.

As always, if you would like any help or support with anything, please let me know.

Keep safe and keep learning.

Many thanks.
