Wednesday 20th May 2020

Good Morning, Year 5.

Already we're half way through the week!  I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who has managed to send in bits of work.  Of course don't worry if you are not able to.  Rose painted a lovely jungle scene based on the Henri Rousseau's  artwork "Tiger in a Storm".

                   2*  = Sheet E

                   3* =  Sheet GD

English

Today, we are going to practise writing descriptive, extended sentences that start with different openers.  Whether you choose to do the one or three star activity, have a look at my examples to help you along with the wordbank provided.  Remember, if your sentence is complex, you need to insert a comma after the subordinate clause.  Also, keep in mind the narrtive that you are going to be writing which is about Michael falling off his yacht in the middle of the night and waking up on a tropical island.
