Maths

Mental maths: This week, we are focussing on halves and doubles of numbers.  Check out the PowerPoint and see if you can halve and double the numbers on there.  Alternatively, you could spend 10 - 15 minutes on Hit the Button, Halves or Doubles. 

LO: Place value of numbers to at least a million

Have a look at slide 2 of the maths PowerPoint.  This shows you the place value chart of numbers to a million.  Think carefully about what each digit would be worth in a number.  E.g In the number 3,408,297, the 4 would be worth 400,000. Work through the activity sheet and check your answers.

Spellings: Spend 5 minutes practising our words of the week.
