‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Wednesday 24th June

It looks like its going to be a really hot day today. Make sure you drink lots of water! Luckily, Lola managed to get a haircut yesterday so she isn't feeling quite as warm.

Well done for all you hard work so far this week. If you haven't quite made it onto the Prodigy leader board yet, well done for all the hard work you are doing on it. There can only be 3 on the leader board but I can see all the effort you are putting in.

Also, some of you may have discovered that Epic has a couple of Flat Stanley books (thank you Noah!) that you could read. I have assigned you a book called 'Flat Stanley at Bat' as it reminded me of when we read Flat Stanley in the classroom.

Maths

We are going to continue with our work on telling the time to the nearest 5 minutes today. As many of you spotted, lots of clocks have Roman numerals for the numbers so there will be some of these mixed in with your work today. Work your way through the powerpoint (also as pdf) answering the questions as you go. There are 2 sets of challenges today, start with the fluency one and then move onto the reasoning one. Select your challenge for each of these activities.

English

BBC Bitesize has a National Writing Day Challenge which I thought would be great for us to get involved in. Use the link to take you to the website where you will find videos and different activities to try.

History

We are going to be looking at what a Roman settlement looked like. There is some information for you to read and questions to answer about what you have read.
