Maths (1 hour)

Please join us for a live Microsoft Teams lesson at 9:00am.

In maths, we are continuing our topic of money. Today, we are learning to recognise and to count pounds and pence.

If you were unable to join the Teams session, please begin the lesson by watching the following videos.

Please work through the PowerPoint from the Teams session before completing today's activities. The PowerPoint is uploaded on Seesaw and at the bottom of the page.

CHALLENGE

If you would like to have a go at a challenge, there is one at the bottom of the page for you. Please choose one of the activities to complete which is the right level of challenge. You do not need to complete them all. The answers are also uploaded for you on the last page of the document so, if you are able to, you can check your own answers.

* = D

** = E

*** = GD

Please upload your responses to the maths task on Seesaw. Thank you.

English (1 hour)

Please check your Teams calendar for your group English session today.

Today's English lesson will be on Teams in small groups. Please let me know if you are unsure which group you are in.

The reading texts, comprehension questions and answers have been uploaded at the bottom of the page and on Seesaw if you would like to come back and have another look.

For today's English, please continue to add to your story map plan from yesterday's lesson. Perhaps you could add some sentence starters that you would like to use or add some adjectives or adverbs from our lesson on Friday?

If you wish to bring your story map plan, there will be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have.

Please upload your responses to the English task on Seesaw. Thank you.

Handwriting / Spellings

Today, please practise writing out your spelling words in your best Excalibur handwriting. I have uploaded some handwriting paper if you would like to use it. You can find the spelling words for this week at the bottom of the page. I have also uploaded these onto the task on Seesaw.

Please upload your responses to the handwriting task on Seesaw. Thank you.

Science (1 hour)

In science, we are continuing our topic all about light.

Please start today's lesson by watching the BBC Bitesize video all about reflection.

You can watch the video HERE

Please ask an adult before clicking on any links.

Next, please work through the Oak National Academy lesson.

Click HERE to go to the lesson.

Today, there is an investigation that you can take part in. We will be investigating which object are made from reflective materials and which objects are made from non-reflective materials. If you are able to, you could join in with the investigation in the online lesson.

If you prefer, instead of drawing the table, you could use the table that I have uplaoded at the bottom of the page.

Challenge

If you would like to, there are some challenges uploaded at the bottom of the page. Use your results from today's investigation to explain which material would be best for a reflective strip on a book bag. You can choose a *, ** or *** challenge.

Please upload your responses to the Science task on Seesaw. Thank you.
