Mental Maths (20 minutes)
This week, we are working on our 7x tables. Have a go at the following tasks:
- Open the Mental Maths document and have a go at multiplying and dividing by 7 or multiples of 10. (Answers on the second page.)
- Follow the link to Hit the Button. You could choose Times Tables, x7 to simply practise your 7x tables or you could choose Division Facts - Hit the Answer or Hit the Question as a challenge.

Don't forget, it's really important to check your answers so you can respond to any that you have have done incorrectly. Like we would in school, you should then try to fix your answers.

Spellings (20 minutes)
Our spellings this week are verbs created by converting nouns and adjectives using the suffix -ate. Please look at the suffix jigsaw activity. Check out the challenge task at the bottom of page 1. Don't forget to spend 5 minutes revising our words of the week, below.

Writing Task
Today, I would like you to focus on the next part of your writing. This will be about the children leaving their house and walking through the village (remember it's Christmas time so think about what you might find in the village to describe). Also, the children reaching the wooden style which leads into the woodland and the tunnel of yew trees. Check out my WAGOLL to help with ideas. Always remember to edit your work once you have completed your writing. Use the checklist to ensure that you are still adding those important features.
PSHE
Please follow the link to Oak Academy. Click on Lesson 5 (Images in the Media) and Lesson 6 (Pearly Whites). You will explore what the term ‘images in the media’ means and then visit a photographer who will show you how photos are edited and explain why companies use photoshopped pictures to sell their product. You will finish the lesson by creating an uplifting postcard which you can give to someone you know and put a smile on their face! You will also explore the term million dollar smile and define what this term means. After, you will visit the dentist who will speak to you about the importance of looking after your teeth and how it plays a role in having a million dollar smile. You will then learn about how to brush your teeth using the correct toothbrush before writing a set of instructions on how to create a million dollar smile!
