‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Week Commencing 11th May 2020

This week Charlie has enjoyed looking at the activities set around plant life cycles. He’s collected different seeds that he’s found on our daily walks and photographed the things he has found. The Sweet Peas and Runner Beans he planted before Easter are starting to look great now too!

Lauren has enjoyed learning about seahorses this week and has made a seahorse picture out of seashells, paints and glitter to go with her seahorse information fact sheet. Lauren has also made a picture on wordart.com like Mrs Weatherby did for the class.

Matthew has enjoyed learning about flowers and the sunflower life cycle. He also really loved the seed spotting activity.

Parry’s drawing of a train. He's being watching videos how to draw them and had a go.

Imogen has spent a lot of time and care doing her self portrait.

VE Day was wonderful on Linley Road we all came together as an excellent demonstration of community spirit and friendliness.  Imogen and max took invitations around to all of the street inviting everyone for a 3 pm afternoon tea on our drives.  The sun shone and we had a brilliant time as nearly everyone on the street came out.  Imogen and max baked the afternoon tea for a lovely couple who live in our road and we set up their afternoon tea for them.  Some of our neighbours have sent thank you cards to Imogen and max.

Emily (yr6)  has been busy with arts and crafts over the last few weeks.  Here are some of her creations.....we all really enjoyed the cake!
