‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Week Commencing 20th April 2020

 Some photos from Henry

Erin has made a home made compass, using a needle, a magnet, a leaf and a bowl of water. We checked and it did point North!

Charlie has been busy this week. He’s made mini donuts, tie dye butterflies and also planted Sweet Peas and Runner Beans in the garden.

He’s missing you all lots!

Over Easter Martha decided she wanted to bake some cakes to give to some of our elderly neighbours and those self isolating.

So baking began.....and the list got bigger! In the end Martha made over 50 fairy cakes, iced and decorated them before wrapping them and adding a hand made Easter card.

They were delivered on Easter Sunday - and everybody was so grateful. In return Martha has received a lovely collection of thank you cards.

Today, we went for a local woodland walk to search for signs of Spring.  We all needed the exercise and it was a beautiful sunny ☀️  day.  We found lots of bluebells and other pretty Spring flowers.  Later, Isabelle painted Spring flowers and another rainbow 🌈 for our window.

Lily has created a acrostic poem.
Isabelle is designing a t-shirt to say thank you to the NHS.  Beautiful colouring !

Isabelle has written a super acrostic poem for International Earth 🌍 Day.  We also had a good chat about things we can do to help protect our planet.

She has also been working extremely hard with her fractions and times tables.

This morning William chose to spend some time in the garden reading his new David Walliams book Slime whilst making the most of the glorious sunshine.

Super proud Mum moment!... An amazing piece of work completed today with Hungry Caterpillar repeat patterns, doubling up as an opportunity to count forwards, backwards and in two's. Loads of number formation practice too. ✋😍
