Task 2: Consider the perspective of Malala
- From January 2009, the Taliban closed all schools for girls in Pakistan. Girls were not allowed to receive education.
- For today's writing task, I want you to think about how you would feel if schools were closed permanently.
- You will need to write two or three paragraphs explaining how you feel and why you feel that way.
- Consider the following questions to help you:
- What is the purpose of education and school?
- What would it feel like not to see your friends anymore? Why is socialising important?
- How would you feel that education is being denied to you based on the fact you are a girl?
- How might not going to school effect your future dreams and aspirations?
- Answer each of the questions by completing the Question Template below.
Task 3: Planning the writing
- Use the Planning Template below to jot down brief notes to help with your writing.
- Your plan needs to have a brief overview of what you are going to include in your introduction and two additional paragraphs.
Task 4: Writing from the perspective of Malala
- Write from the perspective of Malala about how you feel about schools being closed.
