Celebrating World Book Day
As a precursor to this Thursday's World Book Day, today's French lesson is all about books.
Task 1: Identify the book from the French title
- Look through the World Book Day Book Titles Document.
- First of all, write down every word you recognise and write the English translation.
- Write down the book titles which you recognise in English.
- If you need some help, use a French dictionary to check individual words (you could also use an online dictionary or translator too).
Task 2: Identify the book from the opening line
- Now, take a look at the Opening Lines in French Document.
- The opening line of different books are written in French. You need to work out what the title of each book is.
- If you want some extra help, there are image clues on page 2.
