English (You can join the live lesson on Microsoft Teams)

Today we are going to be looking at personification.

I have attached the PowerPoint and the highlighted WAGOLL if you missed the Teams meeting.

Task 1

Using the mix and match english sentences, match the 2 halves of the sentence together to create a set of personification sentences.

Please upload your mix and match sentences to Seesaw under “English Upload 1”.

Task 2

I would like you to now come up with at least 10 personification descriptions for an erupting volcano. If you would like to do more and push yourself, it will help when we write our volcano poem!

I have included some videos and photos underneath for some inspiration! (When watching Video 1, think about how the lava is 'swallowing' the car)

For example

  • The volcano swallowed everything that came under it.
  • The volcano spit fire and ash into the sky.
  • Lava spews out of the volcano's mouth.

Please upload your mix and match sentences to Seesaw under “English Upload 1”.

  1. What are vandals?
  2. What does Grandad do when Chipstick moans?
  3. Why are Monday mornings so hectic?
  4. How long have Chipstick and Ted known each other?
  5. What does Grandad’s insistence of sticking up for everyone tell you about him?

Please read chapter 10 and 11 for homework.

Please upload your work to Seesaw

You are more than welcome to either type it up or write your homework in your Guided Reading Book and take a picture.

French (Teams is available if you need help)

Today we are going to be looking at Sports!

I have attached the PowerPoint for you to go through.

I would like you to translate the following sentences into french.

1. My favourite sport is swimming.

2. My favourite sport is rugby.

3. My favourite sport is skiing.

4. My favourite sport is gymnastics.

5. Make up one of your own.

(Hopefully the sound works on the PowerPoint if you put it on full screen. If it doesn't click on the sound at the side of the powerpoint!)

Please upload your work to Seesaw

Art (Teams is available if you need help)

For this week in art, we will be looking at some of Stephanie Peters drawings and then evaluating them! After that we are going to have a go at copying one of her pieces.

Task 1

I have attached a worksheet at the bottom with 3 pieces of her work for you to say what you like and what you don't like.

Task 2

I have added a photo below that I would like you to have a go at copying. I have also attached it at the bottom. You can try to replicate it by drawing it and then add some colour with whatever you have at home!

Please upload your work to Seesaw
