EMA

Today's EMA will be part of our Teams session. If you are unable to make this or you would like to have another look at it, the EMA activity (and answers) are included at the bottom of the page.

Maths (1 hour)

Please join us for a live Microsoft Teams lesson at 9:00am.

If you were unable to join the Teams session, please work through the maths PowerPoint uploaded at the bottom of the page. Please complete the guided activities on the PowerPoint before moving on to the maths tasks.

Today we are learning to add money. Remember to add the pounds first and then add the pence. Please choose one activity to complete. There are *, ** and *** activities to choose from. Please choose the activity that you think is the most suitable for you. You do not need to complete them all.

The answers are provided in the document so, if you are able to, you can check your own work.

CHALLENGE

If you would like to have a go at a challenge after you have completed your activity, there is one uploaded at the bottom of the page. The answers are also included so, if you are able to, you can check your own work.

Please upload your responses to the maths task on Seesaw. Thank you.

English (1 hour)

Please join us for a live Microsoft Teams input at 10:30am.

If you were not able to join our Teams session, the PowerPoint and the activities are uploaded below. Please complete the following activities before beginning today's task:

Starter (10 minutes)

Task 1 (10 minutes)

Today, we will be starting to write our second paragraph. Please continue to use your word banks (Friday's lesson) and your plan (Tuesday's lesson) to help you to write your paragraph. If you would like to have a look at my WAGOLL, it is uploaded at the bottom of the page for you.

Please remember to try and include those sentence starters too!

This should take you the remainder of the lesson (approx. 40 minutes).

Please upload your responses to the English task on Seesaw. Thank you.

Spellings

Please spend some time today practising your spellings from this week. Perhaps you could ask somebody at home to check your spellings like we do in school on Fridays?

New Spellings:

I have uploaded the new spellings for this week at the bottom of this page and on Seesaw. Please continue to practise them throughout the week. There will be activities uploaded next week to help you to practise your new spelling words.

Geography (1 hour)

Please begin the lesson by watching THIS video about the different animals that live in Antarctica.

You may also want to have a look at THIS BBC Newsround page.

Please ask an adult before clicking on any links.

Task

Please work through the PowerPoint at the bottom of the page. This, alongside what you have learned from the videos, will help you to complete today's task.

Please complete a fact file for an animal of your choice. There is a template uploaded at the bottom of the page which you may wish to use.

Please have a look at the WAGOLL for more information on your animal.

Think about the features and adaptations that your chosen animal has to ensure it survives in Antarctica.

Challenge

Have a go at the penguin adaptation challenge sheet. Can you explain why the features are adapted to living in Antarctica?

The answers are uploaded too if you would like to check your work.

Optional Activity

To link with Children's Mental Health Week, I have uploaded some polar animal mindful colouring pages which you may want to have a go at after your Geography lesson today or perhaps over the weekend.

Please respond to the Geography task on Seesaw.
