‘Nurturing Individual Excellence’

Monday 15th June

Good Morning Year 4!

I hope you are all well.

Our online learning page is going to look a little bit different this week. I will be putting up daily activities, following our school timetable, rather than a week of other subject areas. Since we are using Seesaw now, it will be easier for you to respond to daily tasks this way.

If you have been reading lots of books, you may want to have a look at the Summer Reading Challenge. You may have completed a summer reading challenge at the library before. The theme this year is Silly Squad and it’s all about funny books, happiness and having a laugh! Click HERE to take you to the website. Please ask an adult first!

I hope you all have a lovely week!

Spellings

I have uploaded the spelling words for this week at the bottom of this page. We are adding the suffix -ous.

This week I have added a spelling activity!

This activity can be found underneath your spelling words. Please complete this to practise your spellings. Remember to keep practising your spellings throughout the week too!

Maths

Please spend no longer than 20 minutes on either Prodigy or Times Tables Rockstars. Click on the pictures below to take you to the websites.

Please have a look at Oak National Academy's next lesson on shape and symmetry. We are up to lesson 4 which is all about investigating angles within shapes.

English

Our next piece of writing will be ...... writing a diary!

Please watch the video about a Victorian school day. You might want to make your own notes about what happens as this may help you when you come to write your own diary.

https://www.literacyshed.com/schooldays.html

The video is only approximately 15 minutes long so please also have a look at the comprehension questions I have uploaded. There are worksheets for *, ** and *** so please choose which worksheet you would like to complete. The questions and answers are uploaded separately.

Computing

Please complete the worksheet uploaded called 'e-safety activity'. This is the same as last week so some of you may have already completed this.

I have uploaded a Seesaw task too. See if you can find it and submit your response! The question for this week is -> Recently, what has been your favourite activity? What have you most enjoyed?
