Maths

Today we're going to be starting more new learning! This time we are looking at the area of shapes. We will begin by exploring "What is area?" and then we will start calculating the area of different shapes.

There will be a Teams meeting at 9:15am- don't forget to join me!

Please find the powerpoint and the worksheet at the bottom of the page smiley

(On the Maths sheet, you can write on it on your device if you want as it is a PDF but as always, printing it off is also fine!)

Don't forget to upload all your work to Seesaw under "Maths task"

 English

This week you are going to be writing your diary entry- as if you were a citizen on the streets of Pompeii when Mount Vesuvius erupted!

As always, we are going to break our writing down and only write 2 paragraphs each day. This makes sure we aren't rushing and the writing we produce is as good as it can possibly be!

Don't forget to use your plan and fronted adverbial sentences from last week.

Here is the link for the video if you need some inspiration: Pompeii video

At the bottom of the page, you will find a powerpoint with hints and tips, a WAGOLL Miss Hilditch has written and the success criteria.

Don't forget to upload your 2 paragraphs to Seesaw under "English Task"

PSHCE

This week, your learning will consolidate what we have been learning about rules, roles and responsibilities so far!

Follow this link to find "The mayor making ceremony" lesson.

Upload your speech to Seesaw under "PSHCE task"- I can't wait to read them!

Computing

This week you will need your food chains powerpoint from last week. We are going to be exploring the animations effects that PowerPoint offers to make our slideshows more interesting for our audience!

At the bottom of the page, find my example PowerPoint with some tips and ideas.

I will be on Teams at 2pm if anyone needs any help!

Upload a comment about how you have found playing with the animations on PowerPoint on Seesaw under "Computing task"
