EMA

Today's EMA will be part of our Teams session. If you are unable to make this or you would like to have another look at it, the EMA activity (and answers) are included on slides 2 and 3 in the maths PowerPoint uploaded at the bottom of the page and on Seesaw.

Maths (1 hour)

Please join us for a live Microsoft Teams lesson at 9:00am.

If you were unable to join the Teams session, please start the lesson by working through the maths PowerPoint uploaded on Seesaw and at the bottom of the page. There are some activities that you can work through before moving onto today's task. Please only complete the reasoning and problem solving questions (slides 12 onwards) on the PowerPoint

Today we are applying our knowledge of adding money, subtracting money and giving change to answer reasoning and problem solving questions. Once you have worked through the PowerPoint, please choose your activity to complete.

* - D

** - E

*** - GD

As these are reasoning and problem solving questions, they may take you longer to answer each question. Please take your time to make sure you have read the question and given an explanation in your answer or found as many answers as you can.

If you would like a little more practise calculating change before moving on to the reasoning and problem solving questions, I have uploaded an activity for you below.

Please upload your responses to the maths task on Seesaw. Thank you.

English (1 hour)

Please join us for a live Microsoft Teams input at 10:30am.

If you were not able to join our Teams session, the PowerPoint and the activities are uploaded below. Please work through the PowerPoint and complete any activities before beginning today's task.

Task 1 (approx. 30 minutes)

Today, we will be learning to edit and improve our Emperor penguin recounts. As we have edited our paragraphs continuously, today we only need to concentrate on our final paragraph.

Please use the PowerPoint to guide your editing process. We will be uplevelling sentences as well as proof reading our work for spelling and punctuation errors. Please also have a look at the feedback on Seesaw for each paragraph and use this to guide your editing today.

Task 2 (approx. 30 minutes)

You may wish to write up your Emperor penguin recount in your best Excalibur handwriting. Alternatively, you may prefer to type up your recount on Seesaw or on a word processing program. Please use what you have learned in our recent computing lessons to use the bold and underline shortcuts.

Please upload your responses to the English task on Seesaw. Thank you.

PSHE (1 hour)

Please complete the following lesson on Oak National Academy. We are continuing our topic all about what makes a balanced lifestyle. There is an online lesson for you to complete today. Please complete all the activities included in the lesson.

Lesson 2 - Time to get active!

Today's task (from the Oak National Academy lesson) is to create an exercise timetable. You can create this any way you would like to and you can include as many different activities as you would like too.

Please upload your responses to the PSHE task on Seesaw. Thank you.
